    College-Level Ensemble Grant (CLEG)-Ensemble Development Project

    Early Music America will offer two grants of $1000 each to college or university Early Music Ensembles for the purpose of supporting a specific project or event that will enrich or broaden the educational experience of the students, and/or help to elevate the profile of the ensembles on campus, in their community, or nationally. Applications will be due by April 15, 2012. Winners will be selected by June 1, 2012. Funds should be used in the 2012-13 school year.     College-Level Ensemble Grant (CLEG)-Festival Performance Grant

    In 2011-12, Early Music America will offer 5 grants of $1,000 each to college or university Early Music Ensembles for the purpose of supporting the ensemble’s travel to perform a fringe concert at EMA’s Young Performers Festival at the Berkeley Festival. EMA will provide the venue for these concerts and will work out the exact performance time with the ensembles. (Dates are June 4-8, 2012.) Such performances help to elevate the profile of the early music ensemble, encouraging recruitment and raising awareness of the institution’s early music activities.
