Early Music America Conference: "400 Years of Vespers"

Early Music America held an early music conference from June 10-12, 2010 commemorating the 400th anniversary of Claudio Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610. The conference, which was part scholarly “academy” and part participatory workshop, provided an opportunity for scholars, teachers, professional and amateur performers, and early music enthusiasts to interact with and learn from each other in an informal setting. Berkeley Exhibition

Early Music Discovery for Children, ages 5-15
| During the Berkeley Festival Early Music America presented an opportunity for kids to try out early music instruments, supervised by skilled practitioners. This event was held on Saturday, June 12. |

Early Music America Annual Awards
| Early Music America presented its annual awards during the Berkeley Festival including the Howard Mayer Brown Award (won by Benjamin Bagby), The Thomas Binkley Award (won by William Mahrt), The Early Music Outreach Award (won by Phillip Serna) and a special Lifetime Outreach Award (won by Judith Davidoff). Pictured to the right are Phillip Serna (l), winner of the Outreach Award as well as William Mahrt (r), winner of the Thomas Binkley Award. Valerie Horst accepted the award on Davidoff's behalf.
