Victoria's Requiem

Tomas Luis da Victoriais dramatic six-voice Requiem is one of the greatest glories of the late Renaissance. In it, Victoria created a sound world of immense beauty and sorrow, flavored with a quintessentially Spanish mysticism. The Tallis Scholars fill out the program with masterworks by Victoriais Iberian colleagues.

The program includes Mozart's Symphony No. 25 and Horn Concerto in E-flat Major (reconstructed by Robert Levin) and Haydn's Symphony No. 88 and the Horn Concerto No. 1.
