A concert of sacred and secular music from the 14th to 16th centuries on varied instruments -- recorders, harps, sackbut, shawm, curtal, hurdy-gurdy, crumhorns and voices. Start: 12:00 am

A 14-day training programme in instrumental and vocal performance practice. Classes are offered in strings (violin, viola, viola d’amore, cello and bass), woodwinds (flute, oboe and bassoon), harpsichord, lute, guitar and voice. The Institute also offers a programme for conductors and directors.

The Interlochen Early Music Institute focuses on early techniques, articulation, ornamentation/improvisation and ensemble arrangement in medieval and renaissance music. The institute culminates with a participant performance on period instruments. This summer's program will be a pot-pourri of the greatest hits of the Renaissance.
