Ars Lyrica Houston, Houston Early Music, Da Camera Houston, and Mercury present first Houston Baroque Marathon weekend which will set the stage for a full-on Texas Early Music Festival the following season (Spring 2014).

Although geographically far removed from Western Europe, the aristocratic courts of Eastern Europe were hardly isolated. Commerce and communication, music and musicians moved freely between the two. Sadly, much of the music that was popular in the Eastern European courts has remained there and is seldom heard by audiences elsewhere.
