(SEATTLE, WA)-At the three recent regional booking conferences there were NAPAMA workshop sessions offered on “Federal Taxation on Foreign Artists.” Michael Blachly, director of the University of Florida Performing Arts, participated in the WAA session. He has drafted a letter, approved by the IRS Central Withholding Agreement Program Manager, which can be used by presenters who are contracting with foreign artists, either individually or through an agent. That letter is supplied below as a PDF file; you may use it as a template for your own letters.
