Cornish College of the Arts
Founded in 1914, Cornish College of the Arts is the oldest music conservatory on the west coast and the premier college for visual and performing arts in the Pacific Northwest. We offer Bachelor of Music degree programs in voice, instrumental performance, and composition with emphases in three areas–jazz, classical, or early music–as well as an Artist Diploma in Early Music directed by internationally renowned lutenist Stephen Stubbs. The Artist Diploma in Early Music program is a one-year, post-baccalaureate, performance-oriented curriculum designed for students who desire intensive private instruction, coaching, chamber ensemble and baroque opera performance experience prior to embarking upon a professional career. Admission to the Artist Diploma in Early Music program is by audition only and highly selective. Vocalists and instrumentalists are encouraged to apply.
