Current Competitions

EMA Medieval/Renaissance Performance Competition
Early Music America, with the support of a generous individual donor, has sponsored two Medieval/Renaissance Performance Competitions in 2004 and 2006. The purpose of this competition is to encourage the development of emerging artists in the performance of medieval and Renaissance music. The winner of the competition receives a cash prize and a concert performance sponsored by EMA at the Boston Early Music Festival. Click for more information.

Collegium musicum grants
Early Music America will offer a grant of $1000 for the purpose of helping to bring a collegium musicum to either the Boston Early Music Festival (odd-numbered years) or the Berkeley Festival (even-numbered years) to perform a Fringe Concert. Click for more information.
