Music for Canterbury Cathedral Featuring Robert Jones’s Missa Spes nostra Blue Heron opens its 15th season with its annual exploration of music from the Peterhouse partbooks, copied in 1541 for Canterbury Cathedral, Blue Heron (Scott Metcalfe, dir.) returns to one of its favorite masses, which will be recorded subsequently for world premiere release on CD. Also on the program are: Nicholas Ludford's Ave cujus conceptio, and Robert Hunt's Stabat mater. This program will also appear in Kansas City (Oct. 12), at Marsh Chapel at Boston University (Oct. 16), at Yale (Marquand Chapel)(Oct. 18) and Assumption College (Worcester)(Oct. 20). A version of it will also be presented at The Cloisters (Metropolitan Museum of Art) (April 13, Palm Sunday) and in Cleveland (April 11).
