The Renaissance & Baroque Society of Pittsburgh presents the Ensemble Caprice on April 12th at 8:00 pm at Synod Hall in a performance titled iGypsyis Folly.iWhat brings out the gypsy in you? Is it the tambourines, or the finger cymbals, or the foot-stomping, or the swirling colors, or is it the flashy fabrics? Telemann, Vivaldi, and Schmelzer all found the gypsy within. Youill hear it in Schmelzeris Balletti, Telemannis Polonaises, and Vivaldiis La Follia, interspersed with the pieces from the country now known as Slovakia that inspired them.
