Instructors Letitia Berlin and Frances Blaker will lead 16 players through intense technique and ensemble sessions during the day. The evenings include lectures, concerts and time to relax and play with congenial friends, old and new.The goal of this workshop is to give you the tools to raise your playing to a higher level. Topics will include articulation, blowing and breathing, and fingering, as well as sightreading, ornamentation, and playing by ear. Repertoire classes will cover music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque and modern day. Applications are being considered now.
The workshop begins with check-in on Friday, February 24th at noon, and ends officially with the last class Monday February 27th at 5. Participants may stay overnight on Monday if desired, for no extra cost.
