Paragraph about the ensemble:
TENET stands as one of New York's preeminent vocal ensembles. Under artistic director Jolle Greenleaf, TENET presents virtuosic programs sung one voice to a part by distinguished soloists, who are equally at home in an ensemble setting. In February of 2010, Steve Smith of the New York Times praised TENET's performance by writing “Simply put, the performance was sensational!”  This season TENET released their the much-anticipated CD "A Feast for the Senses" and they will debut at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with an Italian Renaissance program. TENET continues its annual tradition of performing Vespers of 1640 in January—this time offering works by both Monteverdi and Gabrieli. In addition, TENET begins two exciting new traditions with ODES: a celebration of music for St. Cecilia on November 22nd, and TENEbrae: French Baroque music for Holy Week featuring sopranos Jolle Greenleaf and Molly Quinn performing François Couperin’s Leçons de ténèbres. In addition, Ms. Greenleaf and Ms. Quinn will be offering multiple performances of UNO + ONE : Music from 17th Century Italy as the sopranos of TENET.

Titles of touring programs for 2011-12:
UNO + ONE : The sopranos of TENET – Jolle Greenleaf and Molly Quinn The dynamic duo has teamed up to offer an intimate performance of solos and duets by the Italian master, Claudio Monteverdi. Repertoire is drawn from his incredible wealth of vocal music featured in his many volumes of dramatic and light music. Central to the program are two spectacular baroque violinists and an inventive, color-filled continuo team. (6 or 7 musicians) A FEAST FOR THE SENSES: Sensory experiences aren't easily expressed in words. Music, more than any other art form can communicate these most subjective sensory experiences. A medieval conductus, a Bach motet, and an African-American Spiritual all can express, either figuratively or literally, our sensory experience. Our program is a musical collage of the five senses. We've selected pieces from a wide range of composers, spanning many centuries and cultures, sacred and secular, all sharing a common theme: a celebration of smell, sight, taste, touch or sound. (5 or 6 musicians)
