    USC Thornton Founded by James Tyler and directed by Adam Knight Gilbert, The USC Thornton Baroque Sinfonia has earned acclaim performing Early Music for almost three decades. Its members and alumni populate numerous professional ensembles throughout America. With the support of scholarships from the Colburn Foundation and the USC-Huntington Early Modern Studies Institute, the Thornton Baroque Sinfonia has won the Early Music America Collegium to perform in the Berkeley and Boston Early Music Festivals. Its live performances can be seen on YouTube, and the Yale University Press commissioned their recording of British broadside ballads “D’ye Hear the News,” online at iTunes U.
