Youth Advisory Board

We need you for our Youth Advisory Board!

Are you between the ages of 18-28? Do you love early music? Would you like to help EMA continue to improve upon its great work? Then please apply to join the EMA Youth Advisory Board!

The 7-member Youth Advisory Board aims to give the next generation of players and singers a voice in EMA's present and future by influencing the work of EMA board committees and/or contributing pieces for EMA publications. The Youth Advisory Board meets quarterly via conference call for discussion and planning sessions, and works directly with the Executive Director and other EMA board members who share a commitment to issues facing young performers. Each Youth Advisory Board member serves a two-year term.

Applicants are welcome to submit a letter of interest plus names and contact information (email/telephone) for two references (teachers/prof colleagues) by March 15 to ann@earlymusic.org. Letters of interest should address the following questions:

    • What kind of exposure, contact, and/or experience have you had with EMA up to this point?
    • What do you like about EMA?
    • In what ways do you feel EMA could serve the needs of you and your colleagues better?
    • What perspective would you bring to the Youth Advisory Board?
